Project management is one of the hottest, fastest-growing professions in the world! Companies in every industry are seeking for and hiring certified project managers. As such, UNLV Continuing Education has partnered with Petersen Training to provide the Advanced Project Management Certificate program, which is a powerful, immersive, hybrid, project management certification and training program. This program combines online, simulation, and Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam preparation courses and tools to help participants develop real skills and earn resume-building credentials.
Students who complete the series of courses will learn how to be a more effective project manager. It demonstrates to employers and clients that they know how to analyze project needs and nimbly adapt the project management approach to fit the situation. Students will work with computer simulations that respond to their project management decisions so they can see cause-and-effect impact on project deadlines, budgets, and personnel. At the end of the class series students will be equipped to take their PMP exam. Petersen Training has a record of 95% first time pass rate on the exam.
The program was built by Petersen Training, which is an Authorized Training Partner (ATP®) for the Project Management Institute (PMI®). Dr. Denis Petersen, PMP® and his staff at Petersen Training have delivered these courses in over 40 countries and to more than 100,000 project management professionals worldwide.

UNLV Continuing Education is offering its 4-course Advanced Project Management series to the community for the first time this spring. Courses may not be taken individually for this certificate as each builds upon the prior course. Successful completion of all four courses leads to an Advanced Project Management Certificate from UNLV. It will also allow you to pursue PMP® or CAPM® certification.
